AT THE RINGING OF THE BELLS - Rudolf Steiner

To wonder at beauty,
Stand guard over truth,
Look up to the noble,
Resolve on the good:
This leadeth man truly
To purpose in living,
To right in his doing,
To peace in his feeling,
To light in his thinking,
And teaches him trust
In the working of God,
In all that there is,
In the width of the world,
In the depth of the soul.

Homemade Power Bars

These are hands down the easiest to make granola bars!

adapted from theKitchn

I made my own changes to the recipe:

1 tbs vegetable oil
1 1/4 cup rolled oats
1/3 cup semisweet mini chocolate drops
1/2 cup oat bran
1 1/2 cups puffed cereal you like, pounded into smallish bits. I used Barbara's Multigrain Puffins and Kashi's Vanilla Island shredded wheat
3/4 cups dried cherries, coarsely chopped
1/4 cup dried dates, coarsely chopped
1/2 tsp dried, chopped crystallized ginger
1tsp pure vanilla extract
1/3 to 1/2 cup of agave syrup
1/4 tsp kosher salt

Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl. Mix vanilla and agave syrup in a small bowl. Heat for 30 seconds in the microwave until slightly warm and little thinner in texture. Pour onto dry ingredients. Mix well. Press the mixture into a greased 8x8 pan. Freeze for about 45 minutes, until hardened. Cut slices as big or small as you like. Store in the fridge.

Dry ingredients.

Dry and wet ingredients well mixed.

About to go in the freezer.

Ready to eat.
