This is our life as home schoolers, a journey through the days, seasons and years, striving to do our best to become the person we are meant to be.
AT THE RINGING OF THE BELLS - Rudolf Steiner
Stand guard over truth,
Look up to the noble,
Resolve on the good:
This leadeth man truly
To purpose in living,
To right in his doing,
To peace in his feeling,
To light in his thinking,
And teaches him trust
In the working of God,
In all that there is,
In the width of the world,
In the depth of the soul.

Running in Toms and Leather Pants
This is not my everyday kind of outfit, but being in the kitchen baking and preparing lots of stuff today required comfy yet sparkly shoes. These leather pants are made to be lived in.

Backpacking In Style

Our family went to the Kimbell Museum in Ft. Worth this weekend to see "Carravaggio and His Followers in Rome."
On me: Leather skinny jeans from Barney's, Ugg wedge boots, button sweater from Anthropology, red suede purse from Tiffany & Fred. My youngest is riding in style in a Ergo baby carrier. She's dressed in a chocolate colored baby gap dress and cute little Primigi shoes.

Christmas Fashion

I don't usually do the seasonal items think, but I received the candy cane/ elf knee highs from dear friends last year and I do get a kick out of wearing them, either with black boots, or at home, with my Sundance slippers, black tights and a plaid and pleated mini dress (not shown).

This is the final picture for this year's Christmas cards. The kids are all wearing faux fur hats from the gap.

Here we are on Christmas Eve. The boys are in Children's Place velvet vests and jeans, crewcuts purple plaid shirts and their shoe of choice. My husband is dressed in Fossil shirt and JCrew jeans. The older girls are wearing crewcuts dresses and the little one is in a babygap brocade dress. I opted for my green, 50s influenced dress from Anthropology.

All dressed for Flag Football
Gaultier, part II

This is just a little teaser of the pictures I took back in November at the Dallas Museum of Art's Gaultier exhibit from "Sidewalk to Catwalk"
My pictures don't do the art works any justice, but they give a little glimpse into the world of a designer, artist and visionary.
There is a link to my album on the right.

Going to the Nutcracker

My oldest daughter was in the Nutcracker this past weekend. We all got dressed up for the event. Here I am wearing an Anthropology sweater as well as an Anthropology high waisted pencil skirt with my red patent peep toe Kate Spade heels. They are my go-to shoes and very comfortable. My little girl is dressed in baby gap and See Kai Run shoes.
